Last Light at Dillon Falls

I've painted on location at or around this spot several times. But on this particular day, my husband and I were just out for a short hike as the sun was setting, and I noticed that the water level was low, which allowed me to get closer than usual to one of the larger drops along this stretch of rapids. Initially, I wished I had captured the reference for this just a bit earlier, with a little more light on the water, but I decided to go with that very last light imagery and see what I could do with it.
