Watercolor on Arches paper. I saw this little girl break away from her family in a park during an arts festival in North Alabama. As she ran over to the water fountain with her balloon in the midday sun the bright colors grabbed my attention. I knew then and there this would have to be my next painting. Not just for the wonderful composition, but the for whimsy and innocence of childhood the image conveys.
