A Dapple’ll Do Ya

I painted this during the Olmsted Quick Paint during this year’s Olmsted Plein Air Event. It was a beautiful but cool morning, and I felt really good. Started with a clean palette and got all my piles mixed ahead of time. Ended up finishing in one hour and had an hour to kill. So I visited with passersby and even let some little girls paint in my sketchbook. Ironically, the photo that was taken of the event and submitted to Plein Air Magazine had this photo front and center!
