Sunday Stroll

After church on a quiet Sunday afternoon , a visit to nearby Watauga Lake inspired me with the blue waters, deep shadows and stillness of the day. Children were playing in the background, dogs were running and playing and fun loving young couples were taking off on canoes. Even with the sounds, the gentle waves and majestic mountains created stillness inside my soul. My husband strolled quietly in front in me as I captured this photo with my camera and quickly created a sketch inside my head. I came back to my studio and the painting just flowed.
