Sunday Stroll

On a Sunday after church, a visit to nearby Watauga Lake with its deep shadows, calming waves and beautiful encircling mountains created the perfect still life moment to capture in oils. Children were playing, fun couples were putting canoes in the lake but the stillness was what filled my soul on this particular day as my husband walked along the relaxing pathway in front of me. A quick photo and sketch inside my head made for a painting that just flowed back in my studio. I hope you like "Sunday Stroll".
