We're Going to Need a Bigger Nest

Nesting Tri-Colored Herons in Florida, painted from my photograph taken in May 2023. I spend several days at a time in wildlife reserves and observe the habits and personalities of the individual birds on a daily basis. They have to be painted in many layers to achieve the details of the fine feathers across other layers of feathers. They are a joy to paint!
