A still life arrangement painted from direct life observation in the all prima manner. The title refers to a sublime state of meditation known as the 'imperturbable' or fourth jhana in Buddhism. The various objects and their arrangement into four quadrants synbolically represent this state which is completely equanimous towards worldly matters.
