Kalundre River
Title: Kalundre River
This plein air painting was created on the spot during my visit to Kalundre River in Nere village, near my city, Panvel. I chose to use watercolor as my medium, which happens to be my favorite. An interesting fact about this painting is that it was completed under challenging circumstances.
During my painting session, the weather was unpredictable, with heavy rain alternating with sunny intervals. This posed a dilemma for me as I had to decide which weather condition to capture on my paper .Eventually, I opted to paint the sunny weather. However, while I was in the midst of painting, a sudden heavy downpour caught me off guard.
Quickly, I took measures to protect my artwork by placing it in a plastic cover and packing away all my art materials. This rain and sunny weather persisted for about two hours, resulting in the repeated need to secure my painting and materials in my bag. Despite the inconvenience, I maintained my patience and remained determined to complete the painting to the best of my ability.
After the two-hour spell, the rain finally ceased, and the weather cleared up significantly. Seizing the opportunity, I resumed painting and focused on finishing the artwork. All the effort and perseverance I had put in throughout the process paid off in the end.
