I love to paint in the Nichols Arboretum peony gardens. It was the 100th Anniversary and there were lots of people visiting and curious as they watched me work en plein air to create this piece. The peony is called "Dragon's Nest" and this view was new for me as I tried to stay off to the side so all the visitors could view and smell the peonies.
