This is an acrylic painting. I was on an artist residency at Pukaskwa National Park on Lake Superior, in Northern Ontario, Canada, a few years ago. One evening, while the sun was setting on this fabulous scene, I sat painting while worrying if I would have to make it back to my campsite in the dark. I was filled with awe at the scene but also aware of how alone I was with darkness approaching, I think the painting shows this.
