Ford Street Italianate

This is an impressive brick and granite home in the Italianate style at the bottom of steep hill. I did several plein air studies in pencil and watercolour before I painted this version. The building with wide soffits and long stairs dominates the street. I chose to emphasize the front door elevation and simplify other elevations.
