The end of a favorite hike takes you over giant granite boulders (and rewards with gorgeous views). I am fascinated by the ancient granite outcroppings and boulders left by receding glaciers and I love painting them. They are full of so many colors and often decorated with lichen and moss. Palette knives were my tools of choice and many layers of oil paint.
