I was inspired by my subject's youth and the way the sunlight hit her face as she lifted her face to the sun. I took a lot of photos that day but this one just spoke to her delight in the warmth of the sun on her face. She is from a northern state and it was still cold up there. She relished the Florida sun and it showed. I also loved the mix of beautiful colors in the shadows, especially the viridian.
