This oil painting was inspired by a vintage copper pot that I purchased. I had already painted one with the pot upright but wanted to see what it would look like with the pot on its side. It took some tape to get the onions to stay put! That's part of why I gave it the title "Copper and Onion Rebellion." For me it's about the light and the way it bounces from the pot to the onions. And I also look for things with different textures.
