Lago Trasimeno, a gorgeous blue lake, is where Umbria spills over into Tuscany. We crossed by ferry to Isola Maggiore where I photographed these fishing nets drying in the sun. Soft pastels are applied directly to the Sennelier LaCarte surface to highlight the textures of the wall and street. A simple palette keeps the "old world" feel to the scene.
